Frequently asked questions

What do I need to use GT Coach?
A PlayStation (PS4 or PS5) running Gran Turismo 7, and a Windows PC or Mac on the same local network. GT7 broadcasts telemetry over your network and GT Coach listens for it automatically, over WiFi or Ethernet. Start both on the same network and they find each other, nothing to configure.
How much does it cost?
Free includes a four-hour coaching window each week, with the same coaching engine as Pro. Your first coached lap of the week starts the clock. New drivers start with a 2-week Pro trial. See the plans above for unlimited practice and Pro prices.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Yes. Manage plan on your account page opens your billing page, where you can cancel, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Not for you? Contact us from there within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund, no questions asked.
Which tracks and races are supported?
Coaching covers what GT7 runs in Sport Mode: Daily Races A, B and C, and the Online Time Trials, with new reference laps when the rotation changes. Other events, like licenses and circuit experiences, aren't supported yet.
Do I need to use a specific car?
The races themselves hold you to a specific car or group (Gr. 1, 2, 3, 4, B), and any allowed car works with the reference lap. Coaching is sharpest when you use the exact car the reference was set in.
Won't the voice be distracting while racing?
The feedback is timed to arrive in straights and calm sections, when you have bandwidth to process it. Messages are short and won't interrupt you during hard braking or mid-corner.
How do I hear the coach?
GT Coach runs on your PC or Mac and plays the coaching audio through its speakers. You race on your PS4 or PS5 as normal and hear the coach on the side. Pro members can also route the coach into a Discord voice channel and hear it in their PS5 headset.
Does it use AI?
No. The coaching has zero AI. Every line the coach says is written by a person, and the analysis is pure maths and physics: your inputs compared against a reference lap to find where you lose time. The only synthetic part is the voice, a text-to-speech engine that reads the script.
How is this different from telemetry tools?
Telemetry tools show you data after the fact and take expertise to read. GT Coach tells you what to fix while you're driving, when muscle memory is forming. You hear it, adjust, and see the improvement on the next lap.

I built GT Coach because I wanted to get faster in GT7 but didn't know why I was slow. I could see the lap times, but the gap between knowing I was off pace and knowing what to fix was massive.

Traditional telemetry tools exist on PC, but nothing like this exists for console players. GT Coach is the tool I wished existed. Something that watches you drive, figures out why you're losing time, and tells you what to change while you're still on track.
