A. Terms of Use

1) Who we are

GT Coach ("we", "us") provides a desktop companion app for Gran Turismo 7. GT Coach is operated by GT COACH LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17266579.

Registered office: 55 Rectory Grove, Leigh-On-Sea, Essex, England, SS9 2HA. Contact: admin@gtcoach.app.

GT Coach is an independent project. Gran Turismo and PlayStation are trademarks of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. GT Coach is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment or Polyphony Digital.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to use GT Coach. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. You must be 18 or over to buy a paid subscription, or have a parent or guardian make the purchase for you.

3) Account & Sign-in

Sign-in is via Discord OAuth only. You are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure. We may revoke access if you violate these terms.

4) Licence

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. We retain all rights not expressly granted.

5) Acceptable use

  • No reverse engineering, decompiling, or circumventing technical measures except where prohibited by law.
  • No misuse, interference, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to our services or others' data.
  • No infringement of third-party rights (including Sony/Polyphony/Gran Turismo IP).

6) Updates

We may update the app automatically to improve features/security. Some updates may be required to continue using the app.

7) Third-party services

The app integrates with third parties, including Discord (sign-in), Supabase (database/backend), PostHog (product analytics), and Cloudflare (hosting this page), plus Stripe, which runs paid checkout, billing management, receipts, invoices, subscription emails, and payment support. When you buy Pro, your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms. Their terms/privacy apply to their services.

8) Feedback & confidentiality

If you send ideas or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them to improve GT Coach without obligation to you. You agree not to publicly disclose unreleased features or non-public information you gain through early access to the app.

9) Pre-release & experimental features

  • The app continues to evolve; features may change, be added, or be withdrawn as it develops. Some features may be experimental.
  • We do not provide an uptime or support SLA.
  • Do not rely on GT Coach in safety-critical situations.
  • We may delete data from experimental or pre-release features as part of testing.

10) Pricing, subscriptions & refunds

  • Free access does not require a credit card, payment account, invoice, or GBP 0 checkout.
  • Paid plan pricing, renewal period, and cancellation terms will be shown before you confirm payment.
  • We will not charge you without your explicit payment action.
  • Stripe hosts checkout, payment methods, receipts, invoices, subscription emails, billing support, and cancellation/payment management.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • If a price changes, we will tell you before the renewal it applies to, so you can cancel first.
  • You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your GT Coach account page. Cancellation without refund keeps Pro access until the paid period ends.
  • Your first Pro payment comes with a 14-day no-questions refund. To claim it, contact support from your account page, or email us. A first-payment refund ends Pro access immediately unless we manually override it for support reasons.
  • When you start Pro, access begins straight away. You confirm this at checkout, which waives the statutory 14-day cancellation right that would otherwise apply to the supply of the service. Our own 14-day no-questions refund on your first payment still applies either way.
  • Past reviews remain accessible after refund, cancellation, expiry, or downgrade.

11) Warranty & liability

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and conditions (including satisfactory quality and fitness for a particular purpose), and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of GBP 100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory rights (including under UK consumer law where applicable) are not affected.

12) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access with notice where reasonably possible if: (a) you breach these terms; (b) we believe it's necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons; or (c) we discontinue the service. You may uninstall the app and stop using it at any time. If we terminate a paid subscription for reasons other than your breach, or we discontinue the service, we will refund the unused part of your paid period.

13) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

14) Changes

We'll post changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or on this page. If a change materially affects your paid subscription, we will give you notice before your next renewal.

B. Privacy & Data Protection (UK GDPR)

1) Data controller & contact

Controller: GT COACH LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17266579. Contact: admin@gtcoach.app.

Registered office: 55 Rectory Grove, Leigh-On-Sea, Essex, England, SS9 2HA.

2) What we collect

  • Before sign-in: analytics are cookieless and anonymous. We do not set cookies, store your IP address, or infer your location. We do store an anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage, so that repeat visits and campaign links are counted once rather than many times. It is not a cookie, it contains no personal data, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
  • After sign-in (Discord): your Discord user ID, username, and the email address on your Discord account.
  • App usage: usage and diagnostic events associated with your account, to provide coaching, diagnostics, and quality improvements. We do not store your IP address or infer your location from these events.
  • Session replay: inside the GT Coach app, we record replays of the app's own screens to diagnose issues and improve the product. Text you type is masked. Replays are kept for 30 days.
  • Support: messages you send us at support@gtcoach.app.
  • Billing: plan, subscription status, renewal/cancellation state, and payment references needed to provide paid access and support. We do not store full card details.
  • Diagnostics/security: crash logs and limited technical data needed to run and secure the app.

3) Lawful bases

  • Performance of contract: to provide the app and features you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep services secure, prevent abuse, and improve quality (balanced against your rights).
  • Consent: for analytics that are not strictly necessary (where required). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

4) Recipients & processors

We use third parties solely to provide the service (e.g., Discord for sign-in; Supabase for backend; PostHog for analytics; Cloudflare to host this page; and Stripe for paid checkout, hosted billing management, receipts, invoices, and subscription emails). They must protect your data and act only under our instructions where they process data for us. Stripe is a separate data controller for the payment data it collects at checkout, under its own privacy policy.

5) International transfers

Where data is processed outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., UK SCCs/IDTA) and perform transfer assessments where required.

6) Retention

  • Account & essential logs: while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically up to 24-36 months) for security, audit, and legal compliance.
  • Billing records: while needed to provide paid access, meet legal/accounting obligations, handle disputes, and support subscription repair.
  • Analytics: at most 24 months (or anonymised/aggregated sooner).
  • Session replay: 30 days.
  • Support emails: up to 24 months unless resolved earlier or deletion is requested.

7) Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and withdraw consent at any time. Email admin@gtcoach.app. We will respond within one month.

8) Children

We do not knowingly process data of children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use GT Coach.

9) Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), role-based access, and logging. No method is 100% secure; we monitor and remediate issues promptly.

10) Deletion & export

Email admin@gtcoach.app to request deletion or a copy of your data. We'll verify you (e.g., via your Discord ID) and delete/export unless we must retain for legal/security reasons.

11) Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you solely using automated processing. Coaching insights are suggestions only.

12) Cookies

This site sets no analytics cookies. The Electron app does not use web cookies. Our analytics store an anonymous identifier in your browser's local storage instead of a cookie, and clearing your site data removes it. After you sign in, events are associated with your Discord account to improve GT Coach.

13) Marketing

We do not send marketing emails or show third-party ads.

14) Changes

We will update this notice as our processing evolves or law changes.
